Ingredients
- 1 seedless cucumber
- 8 slices very thin-sliced white bread
- Salt, to taste
- Unsalted butter, at room temperature
Procedure
- Peel cucumber and slice crosswise very thin.
- Spread unsalted butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Arrange cucumber slices in a single layer on 4 slices of bread.
- Salt lightly.
- Top with second slice of bread.
- Carefully trim crusts from sandwiches and discard.
- Cut each sandwich into triangles and arrange on a china plate.
Serve with tea. Serves 4.
