Dapper is a free, web-based service that enables users to easily create an interactive feed from any website for consumption on any platform: RSS reader, iGoogle, enterprise mashup, mobile phone, etc. Users can make a dynamic feed (API) that changes based on user input for any website.
With Dapper, anyone can create RSS feeds, universally embeddable widgets, and XML (among other formats) for any website. Dapper analyzes the website's underlying structure to enable the creation of robust feeds that remain intact even when the page changes.
A user specifies which website to pull the content from, and then Dapper compiles a list of pre-created feeds and APIs ("Dapps") contributed by its user community. If a Dapp does not meet the specifications, the user can create a new Dapp in Dapper's Dapp Factory by selecting relevant elements of the page (e.g., headlines, summaries, search query) and naming those elements. The Dapp can be created as RSS, filtered RSS, XML, JSON, CSV, Google Gadget or Flash widget.
