David had just returned from New York where he had delivered a series of lectures on hospital preparedness for terrorist attacks and biological warfare.
David was born and educated in Cleveland,OH, and devoted his life to improving emergency medical care in Israel. He founded and directed Terem, the private emergency clinics, and served as medical director of Magen David Adom (the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross) in Jerusalem, in addition to his work at the Shaarei Tzedek ("gates of righteousness") hospital.
