Game Description

One of England's most celebrated sports stars brings his brand of "football" to U.S. Game Boy Advance players in David Beckham Soccer. The game presents a slightly angled top-down perspective and play moves up and down the turf, with the goals at the top and the bottom. The proportionately accurate fields are about five screens high, with differently colored rectangles of grass that help give a sense of distance. The action is fast paced, requiring accurate passing and good teamwork.

David Beckham Soccer features over 200 international and club teams. Player names appear at the bottom of the screen when they control the ball. Different game modes allow play through a variety of tournaments and seasons, as well as quick Friendly matches. A "Train With Beckham" option demonstrates basic passing and scoring concepts, while the "David Beckham Story" presents fans with lots of information about the life and career of the soccer superstar. This U.S. version of the game can be played in English or Spanish.
