Each suit consists of 13 ranking cards starting with A (ace) - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - J (jack) - Q (queen) - K (king). In most games the 2 is the lowest ranking card with the ace being ranked highest. In other games the ace is the lowest card in the deck and the king is the highest ranking card.
