Demetrias (Greek, Modern: Δημητριάδα, Ancient/Katharevousa: -ιάς -ias, sometimes spelled Dimitrias) was an ancient Greek city in Magnesia (east central Greece), near the modern city of Volos. It was founded by Demetrius Poliorcetes, one of the successors (Diadochi) of Alexander the Great.
