You usually shouldn't puff up - but you may have a condition called dermographism which means skin writing. When pressure applies to your skin, your affected area will break out into hives.

This is an over sensitivity to touch in the skin which causes a local hives response in the skin.

You can literally write on the skin and will either get an immediate red swelling or a delayed swelling of up to an hour.

This can present as little red dots that pale when pressed, or red area to large thick hive welts.

Usually triggered initially by an allergic response that patients often never know what it was to isolate.

Can take 2 years to settle.

If this is happening to you, you should see a Dr to check if there are any underlying causes and get medical advice regarding medications to help reduce hives/redness/itching.

Causes are vague. I have it now for 7 years and I think it was due to some antibiotic that I had taken, caused it. Stress is one of the main culprit though. Avoid sugar and sugar products. Salty food, deep fried oily food, colas', chocolates. Wear only cotton clothes and avoid tight clothes, always warm water bath only. Use Aloevera based body moisture lotion it will keep it cool.

And yes, donate blood so that you can get rid of the impurities, and fresh new blood will replace it. Detox your body by sweat exercise, sauna bath, and maintain diet.

Eat on time, never be hungry.
