Derek "Dez" Skinn is a British comic book and magazine editor and author of a number of books on comics. Headhunted away from editing the UK MAD Magazine and House of Hammer for Warner Bros, he became editorial director for the UK arm of Marvel Comics, where he reported directly to Stan Lee and launched Doctor Who Weekly and Hulk Comic, among other titles. After leaving Marvel, for his own company, Quality Communications, he founded and edited the comics anthology Warrior which went on to win 17 Eagle Awards, introduce V for Vendetta and revive Marvelman/Miracleman. He then launched the comics trade magazine Comics International, which he published and edited for the following 16 years. "Dez, in my opinion, is the UK Comic Book market." ...Steve Geppi, owner: Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. (source: LinkdIn.com, recommendations: Dez Skinn)
