Doda is a district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the third largest district in Jammu and Kashmir after Leh and Kargil.

Total population of Doda is 691,929 (Census of India 2001), Consisting of Muslims 400,765 (58%), Hindus 286,849, Sikhs 1,942.

Administration

The district of Doda is administratively subdivided into the following tehsils: Banihal, Bhaderwah, Doda, Gandoh and Thathri.

This district consists of 8 blocks: Assar, Bhaderwah, Bhalessa, Bhagwa, Doda (Ghat), Gundana, Marmat and Thatri.[1] Each block consists of a number of panchayats.

Politics

Doda District has 2 assembly constituencies: Bhaderwah and Doda.[2]
