Biography

Dropbox formed in 2002 after Godsmack mastermind Sully Erna introduced vocalist John Kosco to ex-Godsmack guitarist Lee Richards. The two hit it off, and were soon working on new material with guitarist Joe Wilkinson and bassist Jim Preziosa. Next, Erna tapped the band as the initial signees to Realign, his vanity imprint through Universal, and put them in the studio with helming veteran Dave Jerden. The result was Dropbox, which appeared in April 2004. It featured a sound influenced heavily by hard rock and vintage grunge. Though Erna had handled drumming for the majority of the record, skins man Bob Jenkins joined Dropbox in time for a round of spring and summer tour dates supporting, of all people, Godsmack. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide

Dropbox was a five-piece American rock band formed in 2002. The group had one minor hit song in "Wishbone" which received some air time on MTV2 and Fuse and was featured in TV commercials. During the group's brief tenure, frontman John Kosco offered guest vocals to Godsmack's acoustic release, "Touché," which found moderate success as well.

After the demise of Dropbox, Kosco and Joe Wilkinson formed a new group with bassist John "Eville" Freeman and drummer Chris Hamilton, formerly of Bloodsimple, called Saint Caine. Joe Wilkinson left the band to dedicate all his time to his new project Piston Driven stating that being in Saint Caine left him feeling "unfulfilled". Lee Richards went on to join his former Godsmack bandmates in Another Animal as a second guitarist.
