A family of Windows-based Web development systems from Macromedia that enabled non-programmers to create dynamic Web sites. Originally developed by Elemental Software, which Macromedia acquired in 1999, Drumbeat 2000 ASP provided a visual development environment for creating dynamic Web pages using Microsoft's Active Server Pages (ASPs) and any Web server that supported ASPs. Drumbeat was later folded into Dreamweaver.
