Charles Dullin

Dullin, Charles (1885-1949). French actor and theatre director who collaborated with Copeau before achieving prominence with his own company, L'Atelier, throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Scrupulous in his attention to detail, attaching great importance to the text of a play, he shared Copeau's ideal of the actor's vocation. He was a co-founder of the Cartel.
