The ego is part of one's psyche, at least in theory. Erasing it is not possible. However, a theory may be proposed in which there is no mention of the ego.

If we erase the ego from a person I believe that they would be considered by definition as insane. That is, if you look at the meaning of the word 'ego' opposed to the idea that it is something that makes you feel superior and what not it is the word that is used to describe one's self, the way you feel personally separate to anyone'anything else, without ego you would not feel like someone, rather, you would have no boundaries with the rest of the world and you would live in it as light, water and the earth around you does with nothing to distinguish yourself from it. This is my understanding atleast using what I believe to be the correct definition of the word 'ego'.
