its because most of the eight thousander Himalayas are located in Nepal including the Mt. Everest. and most of the country is mountains and hills which looks exotic.

Wanda Rutkiewicz was 43 years old when she climbed K2. She reached the top at 10:15 A.M. on the 23rd of June 1986. She was part of an expedition led by Lilliane and Maurice Barrard both of whom lost their lives on the descent after having topped out with Wanda bringing to 13 the number of climbers who died on K2 that summer. This as well as a harrowing three day descent to base camp in which she suffered frostbitten hands somewhat marred her triumph. Wanda died attempting Kangchenjunga in 1992, it would have been her ninth eight-thousander.
