2. Vegetable Chattels, such as corn, produced annually as the result of one's labor and deemed Personal Property in the event of the death of the farmer before the harvest.

A growing crop. Annual crops are generally considered Personal Property.
Example: Abel, a Tenant planted corn on Baker's land. Three days prior to harvesting, Baker informs Abel that the Land Lease has expired. Abel has the right to emblements and so can harvest the corn.

Crops annually produced by the labor of a tenant. Corn, wheat, rye, potatoes, garden vegetables, and other crops that are produced annually, not spontaneously, but by labor and industry. The doctrine of emblements denotes the right of a tenant to take and carry away, after the tenancy has ended, such annual products of the land as have resulted from the tenant's care and labor.
