There are a few engines used for the a380. The one i have calculated it for is the Engine Alliance GP7000. this engine produces 363 kN of thrust. This is equal to 486.79 HP or 493 metric HP

Depends on the aircraft model, but in general all major engine options are available (General Electrics, Rolls Royce, Pratt and Whitney, Engine Alliance and International Aero Engines).

Only for the A380 the options are limited to just two manufacturors: Rolls Royce and Engine Alliance (which is a joint venture between General Electric and Pratt & Whitney).
