Both enterprising and productive, Enterprise Products Partners is the #1 player in the North American natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGL), and crude oil industries, with a range of processing, transportation, and storage services. Operations include natural gas processing, NGL fractionation, petrochemical services, and crude oil transportation, including 50,200 miles of pipelines, 27 billion cu. ft. of natural gas storage, and 192 million barrels of NGL, refined products, and crude oil storage capacity. It also has about 20 NGL fractionators, and some 120 barges and 60 tow boats. The hub of Enterprise Products Partners' business is Houston's Mont Belvieu refinery complex.

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSEEPD) is a natural gas and crude oil pipeline company with headquarters in Houston, Texas. It acquired GulfTerra in September 2004, and is a member of the Fortune 500. Dan Duncan (1933–2010) was the majority owner.

History

In 2005, Ralph S. Cunningham became CEO of Enterprise Products Partners.[1]

On July 23, 2007 Ralph S. Cunningham instead replaced Michael A. Creel as president and CEO of the affiliated Enterprise GP Holdings LP (NYSEEPE). Cunningham had earlier been named interim president and CEO, and resigned from the Enterprise Products CEO position effective July 31, 2007. Creel then instead became president and CEO of the company's general partner Enterprise Products Partners LP.[1]

Cunningham also became a director of both Enterprise GP Holdings and affiliated Duncan Energy Partners LP (NYSEEPL).[1]

Enterprise Products acquired Enterprise GP Holdings in 2010.

Plant Explosion

On February 8, 2011 a series of explosions destroyed much of a Mont Belvieu facility owned and operated by Enterprise Products. The ensuing fire was controlled after 2 hours. One contractor at the plant was not accounted for however no other injuries were reported.
