Ernmas

Mother of divinities. According to some texts she is the mother of the divine eponyms of Ireland, Ériu, Banba, and Fódla, but in other texts Eirnin is their mother. She is also named as the mother of the war-goddesses Badb, Macha, and the Mórrígan; their father is usually thought to be Cailitin, although Ernmas and Cailitin are not always linked. Additionally, she is often named as the mother of Fiachna(4).

Ernmas is an Irish mother goddess, mentioned in Lebor Gabála Érenn and "Cath Maige Tuired" as one of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Her daughters include the trinity of eponymous Irish goddesses Ériu, Banba and Fódla, the trinity of war goddesses the Badb, Macha and the Mórrígan (who is also named Anann), and also a trinity of sons, Glonn, Gnim, and Coscar. Her other sons are Fiacha and Ollom.[1] Ernmas was killed during the first battle of Mag Tuired.[2]
