Some were put on trial; some of these were convicted and a few were hanged. A few of the most wanted SS men (like Franz Stangl, Commandant of Treblinka) escaped to Latin America, especially Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Most, however, went home, got jobs and went on to enjoy the benefits of the West German ecnomic miracle of the 1950s and 1960s.

I don't know the average speed of the RER but I could give you the max speed by lines and rolling stock.

RER A: 120km/h

MS61: 100 km/h

MI84: 140km/h

MI2N Altéo: 120km/h

RER B: 120km/h

MI79: 140km/h

MI84: 140km/h

RER C: 140km/h (This line is extremly slow in the central section, only 40km/h as max speed)

Z5600: 140km/h

Z8800: 140km/h

Z20500: 140km/h

Z20900: 140km/h

RER D: 140km/h

Z5600: 140km/h

Z20500: 140 km/h

RER E: 140km/h

MI2N Éole or Z22500: 140km/h

Don't forget that it is only the max speed, not the average speed.

RER lines are very complicated that the average speed may vary depending the service.
