If you are interested in the field of family and consumer sciences, obtaining the degree will be relatively easy. Classes center around relationships, child development and aging. The University of Arizona has an excellent FCS program.

Family and Consumer Sciences would prepare you for careers related to nutrition, interior design, early childhood education, family relations, and personal finance. It provides a foundation of knowledge and skills for working with individuals or families in various settings such as schools, community organizations, or businesses.

The mission of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is to promote personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education. The organization helps students develop skills for life through various programs and activities that focus on community service, career preparation, and family responsibilities.
