The Fit for Life diet propounds the eating of foods in specific combinations at certain times of the day to increase energy and naturally reduce weight. The diet is high in fruits and vegetables, and low in dairy products and meats. It is claimed that eating foods in their appropriate combinations enhances digestion and encourages weight loss. Developed in the early 1980's by husband and wife team, Harvey and Marilyn Diamond, the diet became very popular and has evolved into many other similar diet plans.
