Florida's Department of Revenue (DOR) has three tasks. The DOR manages the state's Child Support Enforcement, General Tax Administration, and Property Tax Administration programs. The Department's Child Support Enforcement Program provides such services as establishing paternity, issuing orders establishing support obligations, collections, and enforcement for non-support. The General Tax Administration is responsible for the collection, enforcement, and processing of state taxes; it collects around $40 billion annually. About half of collected money goes to education and health and human services. The DOR also provides oversight of property taxes, including valuation and assessment standards and review.
