Fluphenazine is used to treat Schizophrenia, delusional disorders, and schizoaffective disorder. Fluphenazine is used primarily for psychological disorders.

Modecate is a brand name for Fluphenazine which is an antipsychotic drug.

Older conventional antipsychotics, such as haloperidol and fluphenazine, as well as others in this class, may cause drug-induced Parkinsonism or pseudo-Parkinsonism.

Depot dosage-- A form of medication that can be stored in the patient's body tissues for several days or weeks, thus minimizing the risk of the patient forgetting daily doses. Haloperidol and fluphenazine can be given in depot form.
