(Fordyce’s disease, ectopic sebaceous glands), the chamois-colored, slightly raised spots on the oral mucosa or lips produced by sebaceous glands in those tissues. The term Fordyce’s disease is sometimes erroneously applied to these spots, which are present in 70% to 80% of the population.
