A fork bomb is a program that is actually a form of DOS Attack. On a computer, it constantly opens random windows until the computer crashes. It relies on the computer's memory, merely draining the memory. Unlike viruses, they do not spread to another host. Unlike worms, they don't spread on the internet. It uses a batch language that starts the fork bomb. All currently running programs may become unresponsive and is impossible to close. To stop a fork bomb, you have to shut the computer off manually to stop the fork bomb.
