When Ethan went to capture Fort Ticonderoga, their was only one soldier on guard. So that made it easy for Ethan Allen and his men. They captured the guard and walked up to the fort commander's cabin door and yelled for them to come out. When they did, Ethan Allen said " With the power vested in me by God and the Continental Congress, this fort belongs to the patriots."
