Music Encyclopedia:

Fred Barlow

(b Mulhouse, 2 Oct 1881; d Boulogne, 3 Jan 1951). French composer of English origin. He studied with Koechlin in Paris, and produced a small but varied output (operetta, ballets, songs, chamber music) of fastidious workmanship. In 1926 he became a Quaker, which had some influence on his music.
