Fuchs

Fuchs, a freshman at a German university. In some student corporations the Fuchs could not become a senior (Bursche) merely by keeping semesters, but had to pass a Burschexamen (largely a drinking test) and give proof of courage in a student duel. See studentische verbindungen.
