Review
The title of Future Wave is a little misleading, mixing as it does newer gothic industrial cuts (tagged "darkwave") with new wave synth-dance artists who influenced the genre, like Gary Numan, Heaven 17, and New Order. Although it is possible to hear the influences, it's made more difficult because the tracks aren't arranged chronologically, and the two styles don't necessarily sound that similar...Besides the aforementioned artists, the compilation includes Switchblade Symphony, Spahn Ranch, Information Society, Leæther Strip, Kill Switch...Klick, Razed in Black, Lights of Euphoria, the Electric Hellfire Club, D.A.F., and Rosetta Stone. ~ Steve Huey, All Music GuideTracks
