Gabi

'Gabi' is also the Tagalog-language term for taro.

Gabi is a handmade cloth worn by many Eritreans and Ethiopians. It is worn over the shoulders and upper body and is made out of chiffon. It is made up of four layers, unlike kuta (worn by men) and netela (worn by women) which is made up of two and used to cover the head and shoulders and worn during church.
