Disdéri, Geneviève Élisabeth (née Francart; c.1817-1878), French photographer. The daughter of a Brest businessman, she married A. A. Disdéri in 1843, becoming his partner in the daguerreotype business they opened in 1848 or 1849. Until her husband's departure for Paris in 1852, it is difficult to discern a significant style of her own, but during the twenty years she was the sole proprietor and photographer, she produced a body of views of Brest and the surrounding countryside. In 1872 she rejoined Disdéri in Paris, but worked from a studio of her own until her death.
