Also known as landscape ecology, geoecology is an interdisciplinary science which studies the interactions and interrelations in the environment. Alternatively, geoecology may be defined according to its scale of enquiry, which is that of regional planning maps. Major concerns of geoecology include agriculture and forestry, environmental analytics, waste disposal, and the reclamation of contaminated sites.
