Confederate General George B. Crittenden graduated from West
Point in 1832. He was ranked 26th in his graduating class of 45
cadets. Crittenden is most noted for his defeat at the Battle of
Springs. Due to military failures, Crittenden resigned his
commission in the Confederate army in 1862.
