By Train: Local trains, run by Trains Express Regionaux (TER) connect Avignon with most of the larger towns in Provence. Fares are generally affordable. Fare and schedule information can be obtained from the SNCF Train Station, Boulevard St. Roch, 84000 Avignon, ☎ 33 08 36 35 35 35. The station is located along the medieval wall, between Porte St. Charles and Porte St. Michel, on the south side. It has its own gate, or porte, through the wall, connecting to Rue de la Républic, which leads directly to the center of town.

By Bus: Bus schedules can be obtained from the Gare Routière (the bus station), next to the SNCF Train Station at 5 Avenue Montclar, 84000, Avignon, ☎ 33 04 90 82 07 35.
