Music Encyclopedia: Giuseppe Antonio Paganelli

(b Padua, 6 March 1710; d ?Madrid, c 1763). Italian composer. He had several operas staged in Venice (1732-3, 1742-3) and also presented operas in Prague (1735), Brunswick (1737-8) and elsewhere. He was director of chamber music to the Margravine of Bayreuth, 1737-8, and later perhaps to the King of Spain. He also wrote trio sonatas and other instrumental vocal works.
