No. Although Al Gore himself is not a scientist, he has listened carefully to what scientists have to say about global warming. He is concerned about scientific predictions about the potential effects of global warming on society and the world as a whole, because that is what most scientists are telling him.

The future predictions on global warming is depending on our way of life now to better the outcome. The more we do to lessen the impact, the better off the future will be.

It has been theorized that global warming will lead to an increased number and severity of hurricanes, however weather predictions are so incredibly complex that it is currently impossible to know for certain. Some of the most recent global-warming-related predictions failed miserably (predicting an increase in hurricanes in years when the actual number actually decreased).

In general, however, the theory is quite plausible since global warming would mean an increase in atmospheric energy and hurricanes are most certainly a very obvious manifestation of a very energetic atmosphere.
