Pas de deux choreographed by Victor Gsovsky with music by Auber. Premiered 12 Nov. 1949 at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris with Chauviré and Skouratoff. Distinguished by its dazzling display of classical virtuosity, it has remained popular with dancers everywhere.
