In German it was called Das Dritte Reich (or without an article Drittes Reich). Later it was also called Grossdeutschland (Greater Germany) or Grossdeutsches Reich. Incidentally, historians leave the word Reichuntranslated in English.

The name "Henry" although used extensively in English has its roots in the Germanic language. It comes from the name "Heinrich" which is a composite of "heim+reich" or "home rule."
