ANSWER

There are many differences between Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity. Sometimes there is no exact difference shown or known because that belief simply is not held in that religion and so cannot be compared. Budda - - Not accountable to anyone

Hinduism - Accountable for actions

Christian - Accountable to God

Budda - don't believe in sin; Sin replaced by the law of karma; have counsel rather than commandments

Hinduism - Denies sin, gult, and hell. Suffering is from the karma of a previous lifetime.

Christian - believe in sin; it is the rebellion against God

Christianity - believe in immortality

Hinduism - Denies hell. Christianity - believe in a literal Heaven and literal He

Budda - God is unknowable Hinduism - God is unknowable

Christian - God is knowable in the Bible

Budda - Salvation through self-enlightenment

Hinduism - According to Hindu teachings, men are in need of salvation from reincarnation [that is, rebirth] to become gods and this salvation can only be obtained by ceremonial works such as yoga or having a guru assigned to you.

Christian - Salvation through repentance and faith in Christ's death and resurrection

Budda - Goal is to achieve an unconscious nirvana.

Hinduism - Goal is to achieve an a mystical experience

Christian - Goal is to live forever with Christ in heaven

Buddha - rejected the existence of all gods and spiritual beings.

Hinduism - God is an impersonal force Christian - a Supreme Spiritual Being outside of His creation who brought all things into existence.

Buddhists - don't pray to God, but believe they can earn merit by turning a prayer wheel

Christians - pray to God, but believe they cannot earn merit.

Budda - don't believe in a soul

Christian - believe in a soul

Budda

Christianity - Originated by resurrected God-man [Jesus Christ]

Budda - religion is a set of practices not a set of answers.

Christian - the reason why things are or are not is more important than relating harmoniously to everyone and everything

Budda - Don't believe in a personal Saviour; The only salvation is through self-help, following the 'Noble Eightfold Path'

Christian - Believe in a personal Saviour. The only salvation is through Jesus Christ

Budda - No forgiveness for past misdeeds

Christian - forgiveness for past misdeeds

Budda - No Help for the present

Christian - Help for the present

Budda - No hope for the future

Christian - a definite Hope for the future
