Gyokuro green tea has the most caffeine of all green teas with the exception of matcha.

This depends on the production process for the tea; steamed teas (including most Japanese teas, Sencha, Bancha, Kukicha, etc.) tend to be greener in color than pan-fired teas (which include most Chinese green teas -- Dragon Well, Bi Luo Chun, Chun Mee, Gunpowder, etc.).

The greenest loose-leaf tea is Gyokuro. Gyokuro is even greener than other Japanese teas because the tea plants are shaded for a few weeks before gathering. This makes the leaves produce more chlorophyll, in an attempt to get as much energy out of less light.

The greenest tea of all is Matcha; it is made from Gyokuro plants, but then powdered. It retains a bright opaque green color in the final brewed cup because all of the powder is added directly to the cup.

Also, why are some teas "green" than others? Different teas are produced in ways that are better for the environment than others!

There are a very wide variety of green teas. Some of the most popular green teas are called:

Matcha, the type of tea used in the Japanese tea ceremony, is a powdered green tea. More specifically, it as a Japanese green tea, and it is most similar to Gyokuro. Like gyokuro, it is a shade-grown green tea. Although it originated in Japan, teas in the style of Matcha are now produced elsewhere, including in Kenya and China.

Matcha is not the same as any powdered green tea...it is more specific. Other green teas, if powdered, would not be considered matcha.

well i don't like to be a spoiler but kokoa shuzen and in the new book that came out this December reveled another sister kahlua. but on wikapidea it say there are 1 more, akua. i know all the girls have the same dad and different mothers all the girls are either half older or younger sisters or step sisters her mothers name is akasha and her step mother name is Gyokuro. her step father's name is issa. hope that helped.
