The founder of Saudi Arabia was Abdul Aziz bin Abdur Rahman Al
Saud, who lived from 1876 to 1953, and so is the founding patriarch
of Saudi Arabia. He came from an old and important family of
princes, however, and there were two earlier political entities
called the First and Second Saudi States. The First Saudi State was
founded in 1756 by Prince Muhammed Ibn Saud, who is regarded as the
patriarch of the Hous of Saud, the Saudi royal family.
