There is infarction or hemorrhage (bleeding) in the internal
capsule area of the brain. Which causes hemiparesis in opposite
side of the body.

Usually there is hemiparesis on the opposite side of the lesion,
as the motor and sensory fibres cross to opposite side of the body.
In ipsilateral hemiparesis there is lesion in the region after
crossing of fibres has taken place. This is very uncommon.
