Before she married Henry VIII, she married Henry Percy duke of Northumberland secretly their marriage was discovered by Anne's uncle and head of her family and made the newly weds say it had never been, and Henry Percy went to Northumberland to recover from his broken heart. Anne however was determined to prov her uncle wrong, as he said that she had aimed her sights to high in marrying a duke, which is why she was so determined to steel Henry VIII from her sister Mary and marry him, which she did cost her her head.
