Hinduism is a vast and rich tradition with numerous denominations which are so unique as to be religions in their own right yet sharing a vast culture and heritage with one another.

The four priciple denominations or Hindu Sects are:

Saivism - Saktism - Vaishnavism and Smartism

Each of these are further divided into an established philosphical school called a Sampadaya, founded by a spiritual teacher or guru.
