No, not everyone speaks English. Many regions have their own regional languages like south India has got Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada. North has Hindi, Punjabi, Their is assamese and many more. English is the official language of India, besides Hindi and it is also spoken by a wide variety of people. South India also has English as a major language of communication. Purely English speakers can be found there. In north-east,like UP, MP, its Hinglish(Hindi+English)!!
