Amanda Coetzer was born on October 22, 1971, in Hoopstad, South Africa.

The German speaking family came from Holland and settled in South Africa under Thinus Dirk Van Schalkwyk, who was one of the first people having the right to sell alcohol there. During the Great Trek many settled in the Free State Hoopstad Bultfontein area. Many Van Schalkwyks aree known to have O.J. and J.P. as initials The town SCHALKWIJK still excists in HOLLAND. There have been some suggestions that the Van Schalkwyk's were involved as MUSKETEERS with Napoleon , had a falling-out of some kind and went for shipping at sea. That being how they ended up in HOLLAND.
