ifilm.com was an online archive of short films, movie trailers, and other video clips of interest. Ifilm.com was originally founded by independent filmmaker Raphael Raphael in 1997 as an independent film and media collective. Ifilm.com was sold to Roger Raderman in 1999 and merged with Ifilm.net which was originally founded by Internet media entrepreneurs Rodger Raderman and Luke McDonough in 1998 as interactive film and media archive; it also hosted a variety of viral marketing videos, allowing these clips to spread between users easily.
On October 15, 2005, iFilm was purchased by MTV Networks in a multi-million dollar deal. It has since been rebranded as the online site of Spike.
