The uppermost of the three bones that make up the innominate bone. The ilium forms part of the ace-tabulum. The iliac crest is a source of bone for mandibular and chin reconstruction and enhancement.
A large, flaring bone that forms the upper part of each side of the hip bone. The two ilium bones are separate in children, but become fused in adults.
