Pertaining to or emanating from vascular intima.

  • i. bodies — irregular mineralized masses covered by endothelium and protruding into the lumen of small arteries and arterioles of horses, especially in the intestinal submucosa.
  • i. tracks — aggregations of cellular debris, fibrin and inflammatory cells, especially eosinophils, in the form of tortuous tracks in the intima of arteries in horses; caused by migrating larvae of Strongylus vulgaris.
