Ivo Malec

(b Zagreb, 30 March 1925). Croatian composer. He studied at the Zagreb Academy and with Messiaen at the Paris Conservatoire, where he was appointed professor (1972). He has worked in the musique concrète studios, besides composing ballets, orchestral pieces etc, and was one of the first Yugoslav composers to make an international reputation.
